The Art of Letting Go
Hello
I am inspired by trying new techniques and pushing the boundaries. My subject matter is inspired by the people and environment around me. They are my muses and joy.

My art practice has evolved into a process that forces me to let go of control, embrace imperfection and break out of my comfort zone.

My work starts with a somewhat haphazard beginning of all pieces with refinement utilizing paints, wire, mixed media and sewing.
I have a BFA in Textile Design and a Masters of Art in Teaching from East Carolina University. In 2003, I studied under Arturo Alonzo Sandoval during a work study scholarship at Penland School of Crafts.

I am currently the Operations Manager of Free Range Brewing and a practicing artist. I began my career in Art Education and Nonprofit Management.
